This juried exhibition presents sixty-four recent paintings by forty-six artists residing in California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Oregon, and Washington.

An exhibition of paintings by the founder of San Francisco’s Kala Art Institute and juror of “Expressions West 2018.” Archana Horsting will be presenting a free public discussion about “Expressions” and “Translations” on Saturday April 28 at 1pm.

“My goal as a painter is to expose the kind of unconventional beauty that is cultivated by generations of neglect, preferably rural houses with stories to tell.” Livia Erwin is a Sweet Home, Oregon artist who paints works on a monumental scale.

PHOTOS FROM CONFEDERATED TRIBES OF COOS, LOWER UMPQUA AND SIUSLAW INDIANS (CTCLUSI) YOUTH PROGRAM

A personal expression of historical trauma through the lens of CTCLUSI youth. The participants were provided a digital camera and a presentation of contemporary Native American artists like Wendy Red Star and Will Wilson that provided them with ideas of how to create art from their unique perspective.
