Spring Break Art Out Kids Open Studio

This year, Spring Break is all about the freedom to CREATE! 

With different days and themes, there is a lot to choose from.  Pick to come any of the days, and with Open Studio hours from 11-3PM, you can choose the work time the “works” best for you.  Maybe your artist can only art for a short time, stay until they are ready to go.  Or, maybe you have a creative master artist, let them create all day with us!

Artists under 10 year will need an adult with them.

This special Spring Break Open Studio is located at Coos Art Museum’s NEW Art space, CAM Studio, located in the old Chandler building at 187 Central Ave, just two blocks away from the museum.

We will be offering three different art theme to choose from or choose all three!  The themed kits will give you everything you need to complete one project.

March 25 will be Mandala Dot Painting.  With a little patience, you will be creating colorful patterns with the smallest dots.  There will be a step-by-step follow along at 11AM and again at 1PM.   

March 27 we will be painting with acrylics.  Each kit comes with an 8-10 inch canvas board and all the paints you need!  There will be a step-by-step paint along at 11AM and again at 1PM.   And of course we encourage artists to get creative and make up their own painting.  This is a day about exploring and discovering just how awesome art is!!

April 1 will be offering Mandala Dot Painting again. (No joke)  With a little patience, you will be creating colorful patterns with the smallest dots.  There will be a step-by-step follow along at 11AM and again at 1PM.   

April 2 is all about creating and design as you make up your own boardgame!  Learn how to set up rules and goals of the game and then jump into creating the gameboard, pieces and cards!  This is a great family or friend project! And of course, there will be time to play your games!

Register to let us know you’re coming at no charge.  Kits will be for sale at the day’s event.
